One of the more intriguing concept albums in my collection is Max Richter's Recomposed by Max Richter: Vivaldi, The Four Seasons. It is what it sounds like, more or less. Richter is a British composer who's taken the score for the Four Seasons and poked at it some. Some passage survive intact, others have been adjusted to varying degrees. The result is an astonishingly lovely album, in the emotional spectrum of solace and consolation as well as simple relaxation. Here's part of it.
