Dreams: Hammer time, but not that one

It's very unusual for me to remember even one dream in a lot of detail, let alone two so close together, and particularly when they're not nightmares. I hope this may be a manifestation of the physical and mental decompression process I've written about some lately.

This one happened a couple of days ago, and I only decided just now that I wanted to write it down.

The dream was one of those collections of very short vignettes I often have. In this case, they were all stress-free tedium - things like deciding among flavors of yogurt at the store, waiting at a pleasant intersection for the traffic lights to change, like that. There must have been most of a dozen of these. What made them interesting is that in the background, visible only to me so nearly as I could tell, were CGI pairs of dancing hammers. They were crossed into an X, and moved in and stretched out in syncopated rhythms, some the same from one vignette to another, others changing.

It's really rare for me to have any degree of lucid dreaming whatsoever. But this time I did. I thought to myself, "I'm dreaming, and this is kind of fun, in a no-stress, no-challenge sort of way. And I recognize those hammers. They are of course from the video for Go West's 'We Close Our Eyes', a favorite of mine and (in its little pop way) a bit of truth."

Eventually the dream ended, I went to look up the video. There are in fact no dancing hammers in it. There are dancing mannequins, and the singer uses a wrench pretty-boy-style to fend some off. The hammers are from the film version of The Wall. But in my dream they were pleasant company, and Pink's on his own until he stops whining so much.
